51st  Field Hospital

The 51st Field Hospital was recognized for enduring harsh conditions along battle fronts. It landed on Omaha on the 12^th June and was near the front lines during the campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, St Lo and the Battle of the Bulge. The Nurses of the 51^st Field Hospital were the first Nurses to cross the Rhine.
