SCR 536

The Scr 536 is a hand held radio with a range of aprox 1 mile over land (Terrain dependant) and 3 miles over water. Companies in the 29th Division were issued 6 SCR 536's per Company. 1 for each of the three rifle platoons, 2 for the weapons platoon and 1 for the company CO.

On D-Day each boat team leader was issued with an SCR536 in order to keep each LCVP/LCA in communication with each other.
